Hawks News · Swimming and Diving 2nd at State – Way to go Hawks


On Friday, the Hawk’s Swimming and Diving crew performed out of their minds and finished 2nd overall.  In so doing, the team claimed 3 different individual event titles and claimed another relay championship.

Athletes who get to hang their photo on the Wall of Fame over at Olathe East are as follows:

Charlie Mathhews Diving state champion and new team record

Micah Leslie 100 Fly state champion and new team record

Keaton Kristoff 500 Free state champion

Luke Hagan, Zach Davidson, Keaton Kristoff and Micah Leslie won the 200 Free Relay

Other outstanding performances that led to earning a state medal are as follows:

Medley Relay finished 2nd (Kristoff, John Costello, Leslie, Hagan)

200 Freestyle Keaton Kristoff finished 3rd

200 IM Blake Nelson finished 6th overall, while Luke Hagan finished 5th.

50 Freestyle Micah Leslie finished 2nd, and set a new team record, breaking a 23 year old record.

Diving Carson Kinsch finished 3rd overall and also broke the diving record.

100 Freestyle, Luke Hagan finished 8th

100 Breastroke John Costello finished 8th

Zach Davidson finished 13th and 16th in 100 Fly and 50 Free respectively.

Garrett Seyler finished 9th and 12th respectively in 500 Free and 200 IM
